Financial support - art projects
Part of the responsibility of the Art Committee is to seek out external financial support for the art projects in The New Opera House. The Art Committee will continue to work towards acquiring extra economic support for the project as a whole, or partial funding for particular projects, based on an overall strategic plan. Applications for financial support should not compete with the sponsorship programme established by The Norwegian Opera.
The Art Committee has received funding towards phase one of the art project – the outer reception area and roof. If the suggested art intervention is unable to be completed, the support will be withdrawn and the expenses already incurred will be covered by the art projects budget.
Any donations that the Art Committee might receive and accept, will become the property of The Norwegian Opera. The board of the Norwegian Opera is willing to accept any donations of artwork that the Art Committee might use in the New Opera House.
